True North Maritime Academy offers FCC Marine Radio Operator Permit (MROP) courses for Captains and recreational mariners. This course is beneficial to not only your safety, but when securing employment in the maritime industry. Knowing how to reach help with digital select calling (DSC) can help you protect your investment, and ensure the security of your family and passengers. If you have your Merchant Mariner’s/Captains license and a Marine Radio Operator’s Permit (MROP), you increase your chances of securing maritime employment, as you will have the needed licenses to perform more jobs on a vessel.
