Blended Online delivery with In-person Skills check provided by the National Safety Council (NATSAF-202). This class is required to get your original Merchant Mariner Credential. We offer these courses in combination with our Captains License classes and refresher courses.

About the Class

This comprehensive course is designed to meet or exceed the standards set by the American National Red Cross Standard First Aid and Community First Aid & Safety programs. It fulfills the First Aid training requirements outlined in 46 CFR 11.201(i)(1)(ii) and CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i) (2)(iii) for obtaining a merchant mariner credential.

Course Format:

  • Duration: 3.5–4.0 hours of online training
  • Skills Check: In-person evaluation conducted by an approved instructor
